NATURAL DISASTERS
Over the last few years, natural disaster has seemingly increased all around the world. Daily, we're bombarded with reports of impending severe weather, earthquakes, and potential flooding.
IN THIS ENVIRONMENT...
There is a need now more than ever, for God's people to not only respond, but to be equipped and trained in preparation for a disaster.
OUR 3 BIG ROCKS
01
Cleanup -
Clean Up (two words)- (1) to make clean or orderly, or (2) to make oneself clean, presentable or neat.
Cleanup (single word) – In American and Canadian English, the one-word cleanup is referring to (1) a thorough cleaning or (2) the act or process of cleaning.
02
Recovery -
(1) An act of recovering, the regaining of or possibility of regaining something lost or taken away, also refers to a return to a natural or original state. (After a devastating hurricane, an area's recovery may take many years.) (2)The restoring or improving of livelihoods and health, as well as economic, physical, social, cultural and environmental assets, systems and activities, of a disaster-affected community or society, aligning with the principles of sustainable development and “build back better”, to avoid or reduce future disaster risk.
03
Rebuild -
To make, construct, or form again: to dismantle and reassemble with new parts: to build something again, after it has been damaged or destroyed, to make something strong and successful again.

When Disaster Strikes:

Prepared to Serve:
It’s not a matter of if a disaster will strike, but when.
Are YOU prepared? Is your neighborhood prepared? How about your Church?
Training – Offering volunteers training ranging from a weekend to a whole week.
Volunteering –A time of crisis is often the best time for Christians to demonstrate the reality of God’s healing grace. With our response program we help by walking alongside individuals and families in need to assist them in rebuilding their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually by rekindling their spirits.
We are helping rewrite their story….
Our goal is to head to the affected area within 12 to 48 hours (if not sooner depending on distance).
We serve not only as a first response relief team, but we have made it a priority to take multiple trips into the affected areas to provide > Physical, emotional, and spiritual support to victims.
Use trained volunteers in different areas of service such as: search and rescue, damage assessment, field Chaplain to meet spiritual needs.
