NATURAL DISASTERS

Over the last few years, natural disaster has seemingly increased all around the world. Daily, we're bombarded with reports of impending severe weather, earthquakes, and potential flooding.

IN THIS ENVIRONMENT...

There is a need now more than ever, for God's people to not only respond, but to be equipped and trained in preparation for a disaster.

OUR 3 BIG ROCKS

01

Cleanup -

What It Looks Like: When a hurricane or tornado rips through a community, Cleanup is where we start. It’s cutting up downed trees, hauling debris, removing flooded drywall, and clearing yards so families can begin to breathe again. It’s the heavy, dirty, sweaty work that helps survivors take the first step forward.

Our teams show up with chainsaws, gloves, and hearts ready to serve—meeting people right where they stand in the middle of their mess. What It Means Spiritually: Cleanup is about clearing away the wreckage—physically and spiritually. Just as we remove the debris left behind by a storm, God removes the debris in our hearts so He can begin something new. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10

02

Recovery -

What It Looks Like: After the chainsaws quiet down, the slower work begins. Recovery is about walking with families through the long road of healing—sorting what can be saved, praying with survivors, and helping them find the strength to keep going. It’s steady, compassionate work—showing up when others have gone home, proving that hope still stands long after the storm passes.

What It Means Spiritually: Recovery represents healing. God restores what storms try to take—peace, purpose, and faith. Just as homes recover, hearts do too, one day at a time. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

03

Rebuild -

What It Looks Like: Rebuild is where hope stands tall again. It’s framing new walls, hanging doors, painting rooms, and celebrating the moment a family turns the key to their rebuilt home. Every house we rebuild carries a story of faith and teamwork—proof that when people come together in Jesus’ name, restoration is possible.

What It Means Spiritually: Rebuild is redemption in motion. God doesn’t just fix what’s broken; He makes it stronger and new. What once looked impossible becomes a living testimony of grace and resilience. “They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated.” — Isaiah 61:4

Why Every Phase Matters:

Cleanup, Recovery, and Rebuild is a way to meet people in their storm, remind them they’re not alone, and bring the love of Jesus in practical, powerful ways.

At Just Help One, we believe: Hope doesn’t deny the storm—it declares to the storm it won’t win!

Responding to:

When Disaster Strikes:

Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Wildfires, Earthquakes, & Floods Doing Cleanup, Recovery, & Rebuild, using volunteers and donations so that EVERYTHING we do for families and communities Is ABSOLUTELY Free in Jesus Name!!

Prepared to Serve:

It’s not a matter of if a disaster will strike, but when.
Are YOU prepared? Is your neighborhood prepared? How about your Church?
Training – Offering volunteers training ranging from a weekend to a whole week.
Volunteering –A time of crisis is often the best time for Christians to demonstrate the reality of God’s healing grace. With our response program we help by walking alongside individuals and families in need to assist them in rebuilding their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually by rekindling their spirits.
We are helping rewrite their story….

Our goal is to head to the affected area within 12 to 48 hours (if not sooner depending on distance).
We serve not only as a first response relief team, but we have made it a priority to take multiple trips into the affected areas to provide > Physical, emotional, and spiritual support to victims.
Use trained volunteers in different areas of service such as: search and rescue, damage assessment, field Chaplain to meet spiritual needs.
